Kanamean Nishitomiya 要庵西富家 | Japan Luxury Travel Agency

Kanamean Nishitomiya is one of the ryokans which have survived in the modern surroundings of downtown Kyoto. The wooden architecture hosts only seven suites which lead to a little Japanese garden with seasonal flowers.

The word “Kaname” of the hotel name has two meanings: the rivet of a fan and the key point. It is named after the history of fan making culture in the area, we hope for our guests to see Kanamean Nishitomiya as one of their key places in Kyoto.

The philosophy of Kanamean Nishitomiya is based on the teachings of ONKO – CHISHIN, the pursuit of new knowledge through studying what happened in the past, and learn from the ancient knowledge of wise men, ever since the establishment.
