Luxury Mercedes-Benz Sprinter charter in Japan: which vehicle are you actually reserving?
The word Sprinter covers several different passenger and luggage configurations. For luxury travelers choosing a private van in Japan, the exact interior matters far more than the model name. A high-capacity minibus is not the same as a six-guest executive lounge.
Japan Royal Service arranges a Tokyo-based Mercedes-Benz Sprinter VIP configuration with six rear lounge seats and one separate front passenger seat. Our standard Tokyo offer starts at JPY 350,000 for ten hours, before consumption tax and all other expenses. For specific dates, routes and photographs of the assigned vehicle, please ask Japan Royal Service directly.
Six proper VIP seats — not a large-group minibus
Our VIP Sprinter is designed principally for six passengers travelling in the rear lounge, with privacy and comfort taking priority over seat count. One further passenger may sit beside the chauffeur if confirmed as suitable for the actual assigned vehicle. That additional seat is outside the rear lounge.
Reclining seating, privacy curtains and a movable chauffeur partition form part of this configuration, subject to a pre-booking check of the operating vehicle and its amenities.
The chauffeur is Japanese-speaking only. Japan Royal Service handles international arrangements in English, and an English-speaking guide or interpreter can be booked separately for an additional charge. If a guide accompanies your group inside the vehicle, one passenger seat is used.
The real luggage limit: three large suitcases
Please do not assume a tall Sprinter van can accommodate all your bags. The six-seat VIP interior leaves room for up to three large suitcases, subject to bag measurements and the actual vehicle. Carry-on items must also be checked.
For a group with more luggage, one additional Toyota HiAce baggage vehicle can be arranged by Japan Royal Service. The luggage vehicle and its related fees are separate from the VIP Sprinter charter. This is often preferable to sacrificing the comfort of the VIP seating.
Transparent Tokyo pricing and travel beyond the city
For a ten-hour charter in Tokyo, our VIP Sprinter starts at ¥350,000 for the vehicle and Japanese-speaking chauffeur. Consumption tax, tolls, parking, extra hours, a luggage HiAce, guides/interpreters and all other trip expenses are charged on top.
If you need the vehicle relocated from Tokyo to Kyoto or Osaka, an additional full-day relocation charge will apply, and every associated expense is billed separately. Journey feasibility, driver rest periods, positioning and the final amount depend on the schedule and are confirmed individually. There is no automatic nationwide flat rate.
Availability and members' priority
Priority reservations are offered to our long-standing members and returning clients. If the vehicle remains available at short notice, we may also be able to accommodate new guests. All requests are subject to an individual availability check.
How to request your private Sprinter
An accurate quote begins with a travel date, Tokyo pickup, destination, requested hours, total number of guests, number and sizes of large suitcases, and language assistance required. Our team will check availability and prepare a written offer.
