At the festival, you can see lots of people wearing japanese traditional clothes called “YUKATA”. It is a casual summer kimono, usually made by cotton.
Yukata has variety of colors and patterns. For example, flowers, fireworks, gold fishes or Japanese summer scenery. So beautiful!
The most representative place to wear yukata is Ryokan.
After taking onsen, everybody such as men, children and, needless to say women, wears it for for general relaxation and as sleeping wear.
If you have a chance, try this on!
